Zulfi Ahmed is PepsiCo Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).   Zulfi has more than twenty years of IT and Security experience. In Zulfi's role, he is responsible for developing the risk-based information security strategy for PepsiCo and implementing this across the enterprise. To accomplish this Zulfi is charged with working on some key areas, including: developing a best-in-class security architecture blueprint; creating a role-based user access management and identity management deployment; refreshing Security Policy for the enterprise globally; strengthening overall infrastructure security; and developing and implementing forward-looking controls architecture.

Prior to joining PepsiCo, Zufli served as CISO and VP of Information Security at a Texas-based retailer CVS/Caremark.  Zulfi is uniquely qualified for the CISO role because of his deep experience building and managing information security systems and initiatives. At CVS/Caremark, where Zulfi worked since 2000, he was recognized for his leadership in providing strategic direction and vision to the security organization and for development appropriate compliance and controls, including SOX, Privacy and Internal Controls. His leadership spanned portfolio development, acquisition integration and identity management programs. He also served as VP of Architecture, VP of Infrastructure and Operations at CVS/Caremark during his tenure with that company.

Zulfi received a masters of business administration with an Information Services concentration from the University of Texas-Pan American in Edinburg, Texas, and a Bachelors of Engineering from N.E.D. University of Engineering and Technology in Karachi, Pakistan. Zulfi and his wife and 2 children are based in Plano, Texas
