Scott Breece is the Director of Security Strategy and Compliance for Community Health Systems.  He leads Information Security activities across CHS’ 133 hospitals, physician practices, data centers, and several owned entities.  Scott’s primary responsibilities include IT risk management for regulatory compliance, identity management, threat and vulnerability management, security awareness, and Information Security strategy and architecture.  

Scott has more than 12 years of experience in the healthcare industry in a variety of IT roles.  Scott is a results-oriented information security leader that drives high quality, innovative, and effective enterprise solutions to strategically support thebusiness and maintain acceptable levels of service.  He is recognized for his ability to develop a customer-focused culture and strives to provide quality service while exceeding customer expectations.

Scott has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems fromMiddle Tennessee State University.  His professional affiliations include HIMSS, Nashville Technology Council, and ISSA.  Scott enjoys volunteering his IT experiences to non-profit organizations and giving back to the community.  Scott and his team were the 2010 Information Security Executive (ISE) Southeast Project of the Year Award Winners.  The Identity Management project successfully demonstrated operational efficiencies and automation that manages and provisions a user base that doubled to nearly 140,000 users in less than two years.
