Curtis Coleman is the Chief Information Security Officer for Seagate Technology, the leading international system storage company. He has over twenty-five years experience in network architecture, security and management. Curtis is a highly sought-after thought leader, and has served on the strategic advisory boards of several leading security industry companies, including Verisign, Symantec Corporation, Secure Software, Watchfire and Salesforce.com.

Curtis is a founding member of both the Bay Area CSO Council and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories’ Network Security Innovation Center. He serves on the Storage Security Forum for the Network and Storage Industry Association, and is on the editorial review board for the Journal of Information Assurance, an academic peer-review information security journal. He haspublished over 30 professional and academic papers on information security and is co-author of ISACA’s Executive Security Governance manual.

As an internationally recognized speaker, he is regularly called upon to present on topics of security governance and leadership, computer security architecture, internet and eBusiness security. He is involved in the Bay Area CSO Council, Silicon Valley InfraGard and ISACA; and serves on the ISACA COBIT Security Governance Review Board.

Curtis is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), as well as a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). He holds a Master of Science degree in Information Assurance (MSIA) from Norwich University, and is pursuing his Ph.D. in Information Security at Nova Southeastern University.
