Jamil is an information security and risk professional that is focused on aligning security and the business. He is currently the ChiefInformation Security Officer (CISO) at Los Alamos National Laboratory and has previously served in a variety of security, assurance, risk and audit roles. He has experience in the Energy, Telecommunications, Financial Services, Business Process Outsourcing, and Aeronautics industries.
Jamil’s work has been featured in CSO (Chief Security Officer) Magazine and Federal Computer Week and hasresulted in numerous speaking engagements at IT, security, and business conferences. He was awarded the 2011 CSO Compass Award and was named a 2011 Computerworld Honors Laureate for change leadership and security innovation.
Jamil holds a BBA from the University of Oklahoma, a PLD from the Harvard Business School, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Decision Science from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
