Jeff Lolley is an information security technologist and executive with nearly 20 years of industry experience. As a technologist he developed the industry’s first commercial certification program for information security best practices while with the National Computer Security Association, and lead ground-breaking research in advanced intrusion detection techniques with AT&T Labs. His work in intrusion detection lead to the creation of the US Governments Einstein Program, and served to form one of the industry’s first managed security service offerings. In response to the huge growth of financial transaction fraud in the mid 2000’s, Jeff worked with the ANSI Standards Body on Financial Transactions (ANSI X9) to develop a secure global financial transaction architecture. Throughout his career Jeff has architected highly secure environments in the support of protecting our nation’s critical infrastructure, including systems for The Office of the President, US Space Command and US State Department. As an executive Jeff has driven industries and lead worldwide security operations for several organizations. While leading IT Security for Marriott International Jeff lead their efforts to achieve compliance with PCI-DSS, established their risk management program and developed a transaction encryption program for securing their $10 Billion a year credit card operations. He also co-chaired the Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG) working group on cyber security, driving the industries approach to securing operations. Currently at Hogan Lovells, Jeff was the first information security executive within the legal vertical. He has advanced the approach the industry takes to security through seminars and presentations. He is Co-Chair of the FBI’s Regional InfraGard Cyber SIG, driving a collaborative approach to solving today’s cyber-crime epidemic. Throughout his career Jeff has been recognized for his pioneering industry work. Among other recognitions, he has received the 2011 Information Security Executive of the Year People’s Choice Award for the North East Region, 2007 CIO 100 Plus 1 award for Security Excellence, and 2006 Computer World Award for Best Practices in Infrastructure Management. |
