Vas has over 18 years of IT security, operations, application development and consulting experience. He currently oversees all aspects of online and internal security for ING DIRECT, including over 10 million logins per month from over 7 million customers and $77B in deposits through INGDIRECT.COM and SHAREBUILDER.COM. Vas developed the IT security strategy for the bank, including systems security and customer security, with a focus on authentication and transaction monitoring. 

Vas is responsible for compliance with PCI, FFIEC and oversees eDiscovery and information lifecycle management. He developed ING DIRECT’s modern Vulnerability Management, Application Security, Monitoring & Incident Response, Engineering, Privacy, Reporting, Customer Security, Information Lifecycle Management, and Architecture programs. Vas is a distinguished speaker, having presented at RSA in 2011.
