Shammyangu Rana is the Director of Security Operations at Electronic Arts (ERTS). She oversees the global security operations center as well as security awareness program. Her major responsibilities include application security, incident response, network security and system security monitoring, fraud monitoring, vulnerability threat management, and physical security monitoring. In her current role, she has championed the extension of security’s role from being only an advisor to proactive monitoring and auditing across various security domains.  This has proved instrumental in enforcing compliance and enhancing security posture.

Shammyangu holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and technology and a master’s degree in management and systems from New York University. In addition, she has earned several certification credentials, including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). She has worked extensively with the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) at various chapters and currently serving the executive board of the North Texas chapter. She is a member of InfraGuard and an alumni member of FBI Citizens’ Academy.
