As Director of Global Intellectual Property (IP) Protection - Center of Excellence for GE Energy, Kevin C. Swailes leads the organization’s effort to identify and protect all forms of Intellectual Property. In addition, he oversees and directs the activities of the IP Protection Center of Excellence function within General Electric.

Swailes has been in the Security Consulting and Investigative profession since the mid-1980's. Prior to his position with GE Energy he founded and served as Chairman of Swailes & Company, Inc. Previously, he served in the United States Intelligence Community.

Swailes is a graduate of the Defense Language Institute, Russian Language School, Foreign Language Center, Presidio of Monterey, California. He holds his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from LeTourneau University, graduating summa cum laude, and received his MBA from Texas A&M University, Mays Business School.
