Since 2001, Brian has been responsible for all areas of electronic data and system security worldwide. In 2006, Brian began dual reporting into the CIO and World Wide Physical Security Director to further align the overall security posture of the company. In 2008, Brian organized and began facilitating the company’s Confidential Information Protection Business Council to improve intellectual property management. In 2009, Brian became the IT Services representative on the corporate Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures Team to coordinate IT M&A activities. In 2011, he was given the added responsibility of creating and chairing TI’s new global Privacy Committee. Prior to 2001, Brian spent 10 years in various technical and management roles at TI. Brian earned his BS in Computer Science from Michigan Technological University and his MBA from the University of Dallas. He holds an Information Assurance Certification from the University of Dallas. His is gold certified in Security Essentials from the SANS organization. Brian is on the Governance Board of the University of Dallas’ Cyber Security Graduate program. He is an active member of the Dallas Infragard, the North Texas Electronic Crimes Taskforce and the Information Systems Security Association where he served 4 years as the President of the ISSA North Texas Chapter. Brian received the 2008 Central Region Information Security Executive of the Year award from Tech Exec Networks and the 2010 Information Security Executive of the Year award at the Texas Regional Infrastructure Security Conference. |
